Since 2002, Sanjit S. Korde, Margaret Korde’s son, has been leading the firm through expansion and regionalization of its practice throughout New England as the firm’s largest shareholder. He has a strong general civil litigation background having worked in the commercial litigation department of a large Boston law firm prior to assuming the management role of the firm. He oversees the financial management and decision-making, in addition to long-term strategic planning, client development, and creating an overall vision for success for the firm. Mr. Korde is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts. Julie A. Ranieri joined the firm in 2003 and became a partner in 2014. She has over fifteen years of experience representing institutional mortgage lenders and servicers in residential foreclosures, bankruptcy proceedings, evictions, and general civil and title curative litigation matters in Massachusetts and New Hampshire. Ms. Ranieri currently manages the daily operations and business activities of the Firm, assisting with business development and client relations. She leads and motivates her team to achieve results that are consistent with the overall strategy and mission of the firm. Ms. Ranieri has been a member of the Massachusetts Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee for over six years and also serves on the Massachusetts Bankruptcy Court’s Pro Bono Legal Services Committee. She has been a contributing lecturer and author for the American Bankruptcy Institute, American Legal & Financial Network, Boston Bar Association, and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. discussing consumer bankruptcy and foreclosure related issues. Ms. Ranieri is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, New York State, New Hampshire, and before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts and the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire. John McNicholas joined Korde & Associates in 2008 and became a partner of the firm in 2014. He has over twenty-five years of experience representing institutional lenders and national, mortgage-loan servicers in judicial and non-judicial foreclosure actions, evictions, bankruptcy proceedings, title-clearance and litigation defense. He regularly represents lenders and loan servicers in the state and federal courts of Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island in a variety of litigated matters. Mr. McNicholas is a member of the Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Wisconsin State Bars. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts, the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire, the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island and the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Mr. McNicholas recently concluded a five-year rotation on the Local Bankruptcy Rules Committee for the District of Massachusetts. He has served on several professional development panels sponsored by the Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc., the Boston Bar Association and the American Bankruptcy Institute concerning foreclosure and bankruptcy related topics. Susan W. Cody joined Korde & Associates, P.C. in February 2007 and became a partner in 2014. Ms. Cody’s practice concentrates on the representation of institutional lenders and she has extensive experience in foreclosures, bankruptcy, evictions and closings including REO sales and title for Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Prior to joining Korde & Associates, P.C. Ms. Cody served as the managing attorney for Shapiro & Kreisman in Massachusetts. She is a designated HUD Foreclosure Commissioner for single-family and multifamily properties, including commercial properties. Ms. Cody is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts (1988), the U.S. District Court in Massachusetts (1989), New Hampshire (2000), the U.S. District Court in New Hampshire (2000) and Rhode Island (1999), and the U.S. District Court in Rhode Island (2000). Erika joined the Firm in 2019 as an associate and has been the Firm’s Managing New England Foreclosure Attorney for the last two years. In this position she oversees the Firm’s foreclosure operations across its New England states and manages the Firm’s foreclosure attorneys. She also currently serves as the Firm’s compliance counsel. As a partner, Erika will continue with her work and responsibilities associated with these roles and will become a member of the Firm’s executive management team. Erika has over 15 years of mortgage default-related experience in our New England jurisdictions, and she is currently admitted to practice in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Prior to joining Korde, she worked for two competitor default firms in Massachusetts and served in a managing attorney capacity. She also has an extensive title and title curative background having worked for three years as senior claims counsel for a nationwide title underwriter. Erika has been a lecturer and author for the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts and Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Inc. discussing residential foreclosures, title issues, and other default industry related topics. Jeremy S. Lipford, Director of New England Operations, began his career with the LOGS Network in 1997 overseeing operations in Tennessee and Arkansas. He joined the New England firm of Korde & Associates, P.C. in 2015 with extensive experience and knowledge of the default industry. As a results-driven, senior level operations leader, Mr. Lipford is a creative problem solver. He is skilled in employee development and engagement, metrics-based management, and development and implementation of process efficiencies and automation. Jeremy also focuses on business development and maintaining relationships with the firm’s diverse client base while overseeing the firm’s physical operations located in Maine, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Vermont.
